About the shool

The students attend Seneca High School, part of the Wattsburg Area School District.  The school has a variety of activities to choose from. We are known for our theater program where we put on plays and musicals. last year we put on "Beauty and the Beast". This was a large production with a huge cast, intricate costumes, and flying effects.

We also offer many sports for both males and females. These include American football, basketball, soccer and track and field. While we do not have a swimming pool, students can still compete in swimming at other local schools. This year our female soccer team did very well taking first in their region and making the playoffs. Also, our male cross country team took first in the region and 6th within the whole state! If academics is their strength students can join an academic sports league, get on the economics competition team, or assist with the science Olympiad held in our region.

Students also have the opportunity to travel to other countries if they wish. Every two years the French club takes a trip to Quebec Canada. We have a world travel club that traveled to Paris last December and will going to Italy this June. We haven't made it to Poland yet but who knows... maybe that's next. :)

The students

We have two groups of students between the ages of 15 and 16 in their sophomore (second year) of high school. They are taking a world cultures course with a minor focus on geography and history. In this course they will learn about the different regions of the world and how our own culture compares. There is also an emphasis on understanding how we are all connected in the global economy and culturally with one another.

Through this exchange we hope to gain a better understanding that who we are isn't all that different from who you are. We are all humans working for the same things... we value friendships and family. We want to feel accepted and long for a secure future. We thank you for welcoming us into your world and hope it is a worthwhile experience for both our countries
